nib Health Management Programmes
These programmes are tailored to support members managing—or at risk of—chronic health conditions by providing coaching, resources, and practical tools. They're free if you meet certain programme-specific criteria.
Available Programmes
When you express interest and meet eligibility, nib may invite you to join one of the following:
Wellness Coaching – Ongoing health navigation support from qualified professionals
Women’s Wellness – For members with endometriosis or who've had endometriosis surgery
Diabetes Care – For type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance, or insulin resistance (excludes type 1 and gestational)
Cardiac Care (Rehab) – Post cardiac surgery, heart attack, stroke or myocardial infarction, with medical clearance
Cancer Care – For members diagnosed with cancer undergoing treatment
Healthier Heart – For those at risk of or living with cardiovascular disease
Healthier Joints: Pain Management – For chronic joint pain (hips, knees, shoulders, spine), or diagnosed arthritis, where there’s sufficient time before surgery and ACC isn’t covering it
Healthy Lifestyle – For members with BMI ≥ 28, focusing on weight, stress, sleep, and long-term health habits.
nib’s Symptom Checker
nib’s Symptom Checker is an AI-powered tool in the my nib app that helps members triage symptoms, guiding them to self-care, GP, or Emergency Department, Look up the Nib NZ App or visit here.
nib Warrant of Wellness

nib Balance is a feature in the my nib NZ app that gives you a quick health snapshot across five wellbeing areas, showing where you’re doing well and where you could improve—like a personal health score to help track and manage your overall wellbeing.
